NET Health’s Center for Healthy Living (Center) is overseen by Joy Johnson, who is passionate about making healthy living attainable to all individuals. Ms. Johnson received her master’s degree in Health Science from the University of Texas at Tyler and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. She has a background in clinical care and has been at the Center since 2015.
The Center is staffed by four Certified Community Health Workers who participate in community outreach events, provide free biometric screenings, health education, access to free or affordable health care, and provided one-on-one client support.
NET Health’s Diabetes Education Program is taught through an interdisciplinary team consisting of a Registered Nurse, Community Health Worker, and local Pharmacists.
